Some cocktails refresh. Others surprise. And then there’s PRIDE, which is also celebrated. Yes, you read that right.
This isn’t just a pretty drink — it’s a liquid flag served in a highball glass.
A layered recipe that says:
“Here I am. This is me. And look how well I mix.”
If you work behind the bar, you know what it means to serve a drink that not only looks great, but tells a story.
This cocktail doesn’t care for labels… except the ones on the bottles.
🏳️‍🌈 PRIDE:
Glass: Clear highball – so the layers can shine.
Method: Layered – which means the drink is built directly in the glass.
Ingredients:
❗Do not stir. Do not shake. Just build.
Like all things that matter.
Step by step: layering magic
  1. Grab your highball glass.
  2. Fill it to the top with ice.
  3. Slowly pour the ingredients in this order:
    • Then, the Aperol
    • Followed by the pineapple juice
    • And lastly, the blue gin (spoiler: it’ll float like a cloud)
  4. Don’t stir it. Let the gradient speak for itself.

How to infuse your gin like a modern-day alchemist

Blue gin? What sorcery is this?
Not sorcery — just Butterfly Pea Flower, an Asian blossom that turns your gin a vibrant blue and reacts to acids by changing colour.
Science meets aesthetics in one beautiful bottle.
Here’s how to do it:
  • 700 ml quality gin
  • 2 teaspoons of dried Butterfly Pea Flower
  • Let it infuse for 2–3 hours at room temperature
  • Strain and bottle it.
  • Boom: your blue gin is ready to wow.
🎥 Scared of layering? We get it…
→We break it down step by step on our YouTube channel: 📺 LAYERED COCKTAILS | Recipe + Tips
Yes, there’s a trick to it — and we’ve spilled it all.
❤️ Because mixing isn’t just shaking
This cocktail goes beyond taste. It’s a toast to the freedom to be, to love, to express.
A drink that celebrates the fact that every person is unique — just like every great blend.
And in cocktails, as in life, that’s liquid gold.
If you’ve got a bar, add it to your menu this Pride Month (or keep it all year, why not?).
If you’re at home, share it with someone who makes you feel like yourself.
